Iliad is the oldest poem in Western literature and is the classic Greek epic divided into twenty-four rhapsodies or songs. It tells the facts of 51 days during the tenth and final year of the Trojan War. His main argument lies in the wrath of Achilles who is offended by his superior, Agamemnon and causes his withdrawal from the battle. The wrath of Achilles ends with the poem when he reconciles with Priam, father of his enemy Hector.
